Our first child

Friday night we went and picked up our first child!

We haven't named him yet!

I know it's been forever since I've posted anything! Life has been pretty crazy! Last Tuesday I was in a wreck, little old lady changed lanes and didn't see me!! Not a lot of damage to my car but I do have ligament damage in my neck and back from the accident. I guess the impact plus me slamming on my breaks caused me to get whiplash... So I'll see my chiropractor 3xs a week for 5 weeks!!! Stressed over that!

On a better note we should be getting our house in less than 3 months!!!! Pretty excited!!!! Lots of work will go into it! I'll post some before and after pics!!!

Hey everyone!!!

yes i am now a married lady and i am enjoying every minute of it!!!! Life seems to by flying by at a very fast pace and i am trying to enjoy the little things in life! There is always laundry and cleaning to do at my little apartment, but that is part of growing up and getting married ;-) It's truly amazing how fast things can pile up or things come up and I'm not able to do what i had planned... i.e. laundry... lol... i will try and post some pics of our honeymoon trip and our apartment soon!!!

Well we have decided to drive to Chicago for our honeymoon!!!! I am SUPER excited about it!!!

We have never been there are are looking forward to experiencing such a great city. I've heard great reviews on the food and the shopping!!!

Well this post is a week old but I guess its better than not at all... Right???

Last Friday my wonderful boyfriend took me on our first 'official' date!!!! It was exactly 1 month since we have been dating!!! (its been the best month of my life and it keeps getting better)

Brandy (Matts sister) was our chaperone for the night!! (thanks Bran!! Love ya).... They came and picked me up and then we went to the river and listened to a local artist play the guitar and sing by the park! The weather was perfect! We then went to Joes Crab Shack for dinner. We wanted to eat somewhere we had never been before and it was super good!! Afterwards we went and visited Kent (Brandy's husband) at work and got some ice cream for dessert.

I had such a great time. I'm SO glad that we are together!!! He makes me so happy!!!

Just a few pics from Joes! I need to get my digital camera out so I can get some better pics since my lovely phone doesn't have a flash!!;-)

More to come....we are actually headed to Branson, MO as I am writing this with my grandparents, parents and my Uncle Brian and Aunt Susan!!!!! So glad they are in town for a little while!!! Wishing that the rest of the family was here missing all of them!!!!

Kaylee Danelle Gonzales has FINALLY arrived this morning at 7:30 weighing in at 9lb and 5 oz!!!!!! Auntie MeeMee is really sad that she isn't there right now to squeeze her cheeks and give her kisses!!!

Branson

Last weekend our college and career group took a trip to Branson,MO..... it was a whole lot of fun, until my kidneys started acting up on Saturday night so needless to say I took a couple pain pills and went to sleep!!! Luckily I felt a whole lot better after sleeping!!

Went went to Silver Dollar City on Saturday and then to the outlets to shop! I ONLY bought 1 thing!! So proud of myself! =p after we were done we went back to The Landing and ate dinner....which was an experience in itself! Most of you know that I am lactose intolerant and have been for a while which obviously means that I CANNOT have cheese, so I ordered my chicken sandwich without cheese and it came out WITH cheese!!!! So I told our waitress that I can't eat it and she was really nice and said she forgot to ask them to 86 the cheese! So she took it back to the kitchen and it took FOREVER!!! It was already prob 10:30 and so I waited and waited and waited. Everyone was finished by the time I got my food! I guess I just need more tests of patience in my life! Just a side note: being lactose intolerant is NOT fun at all!!!!

So many great things have happened last

month!!! We got to see my baby cousin, and the rest of my family!!! The plan rides there and back were enough to make me want to kill somebody but I kept my cool and we made it home a day later than schedeled!!! Thank you to my uncle Brian, Aunt Susan, James and Amy you made our week wonderful! I miss and love you all soooo much!!!

We have been doing stuff with for college and career. We went to Oklahoma city to the zoo and shopping it was loads of fun!!!!

Bryson came to peak this year and got to hang out with us!!!! It was so much fun and he is sooo sweet I came home the other day to flowers!!! Thanks again Bryson!! Love ya!!!

So many other great things are happening to... I love my job!!!!

Good things come to those who wait!!! Timing is everything. Just when you aren't looking for something it usually shows up in your back yard!! It's been right in front of me the whole time!!!! Can't wait to see what will happen in the near future! I'm SO excited, I just cant hide it!!!!!

I start work on Monday morning!!!!!!!!! I'm excited!!!!!

In other news: we are moving this weekend and have been moving over the last 2 weeks!!! I don't particularly care for the whole moving thing! Just saying!! It's a lot of work and honestly I don't know how we have so much Stuff Ie. JUNK that has accumulated over the past year.anyways Mom and I have been taking small loads over in the car on a daily basis sometimes several loads. Well today and tomorrow we need to finish all of the little stuff because Uncle Robert, Aunt Carlette and Robbie are coming on saturday to help us move all of the big furniture and take our beds and whatever else won't fit in the back of our cars!!! On top of all that we have vacation Bible school tonight, tomorrow and on Saturday. So needless to say it's been a crazy week and it's going to be an even more crazy weekend!!!

Btw- this is what happens in a matter of 20 mins in Oklahoma. It was 95 and sunny n hot and then out of nowhere... Rain and dark clouds!!!

Job update!

I went on Friday of last week to meet with the lady who will be my boss! She was really nice and everything went really well! On Tuesday I received a phone call from the hiring manager letting me know that they thought I would be perfect for the job and asked If I still wanted the position!! Of course i said yes! She told me that It would take a few days for the background check! I got a call on Wednesday afternoon letting me know it went through and to come in today and pick up a paper for my drug test!!! I went today to take my drug test and a breathalyzer test (first time to do that) and I passed my breathalyzer. The lady said,'well all zeros that's good!' I told her,' it better be cause If it isn't than we have problems cause I don't drink!! ' Lol!!! Anyway.... I haven't heard back from them as of tonight but I am expecting to get a phone call tomorrow!!! Hopefully I will be starting work on Monday :D

Where to begin?!? So much has happened in last couple weeks! Last weeks of school/ work and always busy doing stuff for church!!! I am officially jobless at the moment. I am waiting to hear back from a potential job, hopefully this week she will call me. I am running out of money very quickly and need to start yesterday!;-)

Soy Strawberries and Creme

So starbucks now offers their strawberries and creme with soy milk!! Yay!!! I can finally drink it now without getting sick!!! It's the little things in life that matter!

We also had some severe weather alerts yesterday! Little scary knowing that a tornado could possibly come through at any moment and wipe out whatever is in it's path! Thankfully it didn't get this far. The radio said there were around 24 different tornados that touched down in Oklahoma!! I think the closest ones were about an hour away! Which isn't very far in terms of how fast that they travel! We had really nasty weather and it's still very humid today.

Howdy!!!! To all of you who faithfully come to my page to see if i have updated anything, here you go!!!

These past 3 months we have been in revival with Bro. and Sis. Rodney Betts from North Carolina. We have seen so many great things happen in the last 3 months, i am sad that they are leaving! We have been challenged and are on a new level... ready for whatever God has in store for us! NOW is the time!!! There is set before us a GREAT and effectual door! We are ready to walk through it, and the harvest is plenty, already white!!! I'm excited to be a part of all that is happening in the Tulsa area! God is great!!!

This year has been a very interesting one for me so far... a whole lot of good things have happened and some not so good things have happened as well!!! I can only hope that the obstacles that i have been through in this race, called life, are just practice runs for the race that counts!!

if anyone knows how i can update my blog from my iPhone, please let me know! i have tried doing it several times, but can never get the text box to come up when i want to post something!?!!? i am still learning all that my phone can do! I LOVE it though!!!

In Loving Memory

This past Friday we lost a close friend of ours. It was so sudden and unexpected that most of us are in shock still. I will always remember Bethany for her smile and always finding some way to laugh in spite of what all was going on. You never knew just what she was going to say, but one thing is for certain, you always knew what she was thinking! :) Today we will be having a service for her in Tulsa. Please say a prayer for Kevin (Beth's husband), Blake and Brennan (their children) and the Howard/McDonald families. Our loss is so great but she has gained a much greater prize! She is healed, no more hurt, no more pain, no more suffering, sorrow, forever singing in that heavenly choir and dancing on streets of Glory! Can't wait to meet you there! 'Well done thy good and faithful servant' :)

Coming into Tulsa...i LOVE flying... this time though it was a little painful, with being sick my ears practically exploded... Funny story... As soon as i got on the plane to come home, i was coughing and the guy right in front of me to the left, turned in his seat and glared at me!! LOL it was really funny i couldn't help but laugh...I'm sure that the people on the plane really enjoyed hearing me coughing my lungs up!

Hey Ya'll.... Just a little note to let everyone know that i will be updating very soon.... i have been sick the last 2 weeks. Went to the Med Stop yesterday afternoon and they diagnosed me with Bronchitis, Sinusitis and walking pneumonia.... i am on 3 medications and have had trouble sleeping at night!

I was sick the entire time that i was in Arizona for the wedding! I had such a good time in spite of being sick!! The wedding was BEAUTIFUL and it was so good to see all my family! I miss everyone so much!!!!

I think that Spring is on its way and that makes me very happy!!! It was so gorgeous this morning, although now it is dark and gloomy outside, we are in for a storm this afternoon!

Happy Birthday to the best sister in the world... no she isn't twisting my arm as i write this either!!! Life is a little crazy at the moment!!! A lot has happened in the last month, some GREAT and some NOT so great things have transpired... I will not dwell on the 'not-so-great' and focus all my attention on the awesome things that have happened and are continuing the happen in my life!!!

Let me just say this... life isn't always fair, and we don't always get to choose what will happen to us, but... i am glad that i have family and friends that are on my side and love me no matter what happens in my life!!!

so that all being said.......

We got more SNOW!!! yea..... it was soo pretty... we actually went sledding on Saturday with some friends of ours... it was a total blast. Well worth the bruise on the back...(landed on the concrete twice in the same spot, who puts concrete at the bottom of a hill??)

we are in revival with The Betts family from North Carolina... awesome family.... we are SOOOO excited about that...

this week has been crazy and it looks like it will be getting even more crazy by the time its all over!

I will post some pictures when i get 2 seconds to breathe, i should be in bed right now, but i know i have been neglecting my blog, so i figured i better at least post something!!!

Jayden, i can't believe you are "1" ALREADY!!!! How time really does fly! I remember like it was yesterday that your Mommy and Daddy took me to eat and told me that they were going to have a baby! Then i could hardly wait to find out if you were going to be a boy or a girl! We were so excited that you were going to be a boy and then it was the wait for you to make your grand entrance into this big world! I will never forget the time that i went to the Americana with your Mom and Dad, and you were still in your Mommies tummy, we sat in the floor of Barnes and Noble and laughed until we were crying!!! The first time we thought you were going to come we rushed down to see you....BUT.... you didn't want to be born yet...so we waited another week and you finally decided you wanted to get out of that little space and experience life! I am so glad that i was able to see you within minutes of your arrival! You were such a cute little guy and we got to spend some quality time that morning while your Momma got to rest!!! I miss and love you so much!! You better tell your Mommy to come see me, so i can squeeze you and hold you like i did that morning. Although, I'm not sure you will enjoy it now that you are growing up!!! Auntie MeeMee loves you very much!!!!

at our apartment complex..there were cars parked in the middle of the driveways because there was so much snow they couldn't get to a parking space!!!

we went to visit with Robbie and Amber and my Uncle Robert and Aunt Carlette last night and ended up staying the night with them because of the snow.. it really started coming down and they were closing the highways so we just decided to stay and not chance going out and getting stuck! I am SO glad that we didn't, on the way home we saw probably 200 cars on the side of the road..... We are loving living here and i am SO glad that we have a "white" Christmas!!! We miss and love all of you!!!! wish we could be there to celebrate the season!

So much had been going on! Last month was crazy, i still can't believe that it went by sooo fast! Before we know it there will be snow on the ground and it will be Christmas!!! I actually am looking forward to a "White Christmas".... well i guess that is if i stay in Tulsa during Christmas!! lol... who knows, still looking for a 'cheap' flight, I'm beginning to think that there are no such things anymore!

Anyways, Grandpa and Grandma Helms along with Aunt Peggy came to Oklahoma to visit Aunt Carlette! While they were here we got to see them and have dinner at Aunt Carlette and Uncle Robert's! It was a ton of fun! It was the first time i had seen their land and it is sooo beautiful, above is a picture of her feeding the cows! They are really cute... can't wait to go back!

a few weeks ago we had a ladies retreat in Bartlesville for our church. Sis. Cathy Clark from California came and did a FANTASTIC job! She had broken her foot right before she came but she was a trooper! It was well worth going and i am so glad that i went, even though i spent WAY to much money in one weekend! Can't wait til next year!!!!

For my birthday a few of us went to Oklahoma City for the day. I have been craving BJ's and i found out they had one in OKC so that's where i wanted to go for my birthday! Even though it took like 2 hours in the restaurant it was well worth it! The food was awesome, but our waiter smelled like he hadn't showered in, ohhh about 5 YEARS!!!! he stunk SO bad... after we ate we went to the mall right next to it! It was kinda ghetto but it was a lot of fun just goofing off and being stupid!

so we saw these 'strollers' and couldn't pass up a photo opportunity!! they hurt really bad, and people were looking at us like we had fallen out of a tree, but it was fun!

here we are again, inside the mall right after our 'photo shoot' in New York and Co. they had an empty window so we decided to act like models.. it was fun, I think Lashel was getting a little embarrassed though!! hehe...

Here is Whit and I @ our CnC Fall Party! We had a bonfire and roasted hot dawgs over the fire! after we moved on the other side of the smoke it was painless! :) Natasha surprised me with a birthday cake since it was on the day of my birthday! We played hide-n-seek in the dark and then went in when it got cold and played pictionary! Our team won, thanks to my exquisite ability to draw!!!!! ahahahah good times!!!

I had to work on my birthday and the sweetest thing happened! My students surprised me with cake and presents and when i walked in the class they had a sign that said 'Happy Birthday, Sis. Gregg' and started singing to me! I almost started crying! needless to say we didn't get much done on Friday! We were all on a sugar high!!!

Howdy.... sorry its been so long since i have updated my blog. I have been super busy with work and church and outreach and choir and on and on and on... lol... its a great life though, i can't complain!!! Our College and Career group is headed for Dallas this weekend. We are going to Six Flags and to church at Bro. Steve Pixlers on Sunday morning and then shopping at the mall and a big outlet mall on the way home!!! I am really excited, its going to be a blast!!! I will definitely post some pictures from the trip when i get home!!! Here are a few pics from the past couple weeks...

Thank you to all who have been praying for my situation...i was asked last Tuesday night if i would be interested in teaching at our Church school.... i gladly said YES!!! I am teaching the 5th and 6th graders. They are a GREAT group of kids, i am anxious to see all that is going to happen this year!!!! I had about a 1 day notice so this last week has been crazy trying to catch up to speed. My first official day of teaching was yesterday and it went very well!!!! I will try to keep everyone updated as the school year goes along!!

Here is Me with Bricen and JoAnna Jones..they are sooo adorable..im glad i got to see them this past week....

We had a ministers conference at our church last week, it was awesome...lots of cleaning before to get ready and LOTS of work during..i had a blast working with all the young people... i was asked to be over the serving for the meals... it was so much fun, but i was glad that it was over! ;)

Yes i got to meet him... it was really funny, we were eating at Cheesecake Factory, along with a million other people on Friday night after PEAK... and he had a concert in town that night...well we were just eating and a bunch of church people came outside where we were sitting with their cameras. I didn't know what was going on and they told us that Kirk was sitting right behind us...wellllll of course we didn't believe them...well needless to say it was him, in the flesh, and sooo a bunch more people came out to talk to him and take pics...i took one of him from far away, i wasn't going to bother him, but right as we were leaving he let our table take some pics with him..it was really cool... he is short, lol.. i felt like a giant next to him!! He is a very nice gentleman though.....

Just to keep everyone up on all the news.... Nay got a job, working at the same place as my Dad, she doesn't really love it but its a job...

I am still on the job hunt along with my Mom.... this is the hardest place to get jobs, they want everything online, or if you know someone then its alot easier to get hired.... so we are applying everywhere that we can think, and even places that we don't want to work! :)

The weather is getting better, its still hot, but i think we are getting used to it.... it got to around 60 the other night and i thought i was going to freeze...:)

Well.... i figured i should probably post something on here since it has been a while... I am horrible at blogging now. I don't like to post any pics because it take a million and one years for them to load.... i know, i know, that's no excuse....

For those of you that are wondering... i LOVE living in OKLAHOMA.... i am in my element here... i just wish that i could find a job....i have been on the hunt since the first week we arrived. It is extremely difficult to land a job here. Everything is done online so it is very frustrating. But i know that the perfect job will come soon enough....

We have been busy, from the moment we've been here it has been non-stop fun. Wedding, Camp, hanging out with friends and lots of other fun things. We got to see the play 'Oklahoma' last week. If you ever are in the area and have the opportunity to see it, you need to. Its really good....

I do miss my family and friends in Cali though... hopefully i will be able so come out soon. I am planning on being there in November, but maybe sooner, we shall see. I am running out of money at the moment, so it will defiantly be after i get a job and save some money!

This past weekend we went to 'The Messiah' in Bakersfield on Friday night, it was excellent..... After we went to my Uncle and Aunts for dinner and got to hang out with Nate, Lyn, John, Jen, James, Amy, the boys and everyone else...we then drove to Anaheim, got a great deal on Price Line for the Hilton, very nice room... Went to Disneyland on Saturday that was fun, then we met up with David, Breanna, and Jayden.... i got to kiss my baby, i miss him so much, he's getting bigger by the day (no exaggeration)... we left there around 11:30 and got home around 3 in the morning... so tired...

We had such a GREAT time in Sacramento last week... Their church puts on an incredible conference every year and i haven't missed one in 5 years! I love to go see all of my friends that i only get to see once or twice a year, but most of all the power and the presence of God is so strong... It was awesome to hear all of the wonderful preaching again this year... ' I REFUSE to LOSE', if you weren't there or haven't heard Bro. Marks preach that message then i advise you to get a copy of that....

This year was so much fun, Sheree and Chelsee came with us!!! You can only imagine the amount of laughter and craziness that went on in the car, the motel, and in downtown.... I FINALLY got to meet Erica!!!! I instantly feel in love with her!!! She is the most precious little girl i have ever seen! So petite and cute... i wish i could steal her! :) We arrived on Saturday just before the shower started and got to hang out for a little while before everyone arrived... The shower turned out really good... my Aunt Rachel, Jen and Lynn put a lot of work into decorating and making all kinds of yummy desserts and lots of food that i probably shouldn't have ate!!! It was also good to see one of my childhood friends, Eric, his mom was at the baby shower and he came and dropped off his little girl!! Oh my, i didn't even know he was married or had a kid, it has probably been at least 10 years since i have seen him, he hasn't changed at all though!!!

After the shower was over my Aunt Rachel, Mom, John, Jen, Nay and myself went to the church to practice a song for the dedication service... we were all so tired, but we got it down, then after Mom and Aunt Rachel were just playing songs so i got on the drums... ;-0.... it was fun, i don't know if i will be playing in church anytime soon, but i kept a pretty steady beat!!

The next morning we got up and went to church... most of our family was able to be there, so that made it really special.. it is kind of a tradition for our family so far to have their children dedicated at my Uncles church... after the service we went back to my Uncle and Aunts for a delicious Ham, scalloped potatoes, bread, pasta salad, green bean dinner!!! YUM.... it was soooo good... we all hung out and little by little everyone started to leave.. Greg and Ruthie had to be back at the airport by 2 and i wanted to get back to church to see my little nephew...

I was sad that we had to leave but it was such a great weekend.... can't wait to see y'all again.....

This past weekend was a very busy but fun weekend.... We left Friday after work and drove to San Jose... We went to see "Stars on Ice" with the Abbeys and Tasha... it was soo much fun.... they had some really amazing skaters... this one dude kept doing back flips, pretty amazing how they can do some many things and not fall down... after the show we spent the night at Tashas grandmas house in Hollister.... Shenay and I got up super early to drive home.... we got home and then an hour later we drove to Kingsburg for my lil cousin Erica's babyshower....

Well this past week has been pretty much like summer.... i think we are having our summer weather now that its the middle of winter... this past summer we didn't really have very many sunny warm days.... so folks it is January, freezing in many parts of our nation and here on the central coast it has been in the high 70's and 80's!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that?!?!?! it was 78 when we left church this morning!!! I believe that it is going to cool down starting tomorrow and there is talk of some storms coming... but believe me it has been soo warm here this past week... it doesn't feel like it is winter!!! I guess that is one of the benefits of living on the central coast!!

I hope that everyone is having a great year so far... i can't believe that the month of January is almost over! This year is going by extremely fast..... So many great things have happened so far in my life, and i am grateful for that... God is awesome...

I will be posting some pictures from Disneyland, whenever i can steal my sisters card out of her camera!! :)

Acts 2:38 was such an AWESOME conference... i will be going, by God's Grace, every year... it was a very encouraging, and it was exactly what i needed to hear and that moment in my life... it was if the whole thing was just to me... i love when God does that for me... i will be praying about a certain thing or situation and very soon something will be said or someone will come and say something to me... at times i just want to stand up and say, "okay now that y'all know just what i was praying about you can go home now!" but our God is and AWESOME, WONDERFUL, FAITHFUL, ON TIME...... GOD!!!!!!!!!!! Bro Ballastero and Bro Wilmoth, walked in the spirit, it was so incredible to see a man of God just be so anointed and so on fire....
If you get the opportunity to go this year, i would highly suggest it!!! You will not be disappointed at all...

Jayden is his first "outfit" i couldn't stand to see him in the little white ugly hospital gown/shirt they had on him... so all of you that know me and how i am with baby clothes, i just had to get him all dressed up!! Funny story... i got him all dressed, and by the way he is such a good baby, he only cried when my cold hands touched him, but other that that he just cooed at me and i talked to him in crazy baby talk... so i had just got done putting on his socks, put the blanket on him and in walked the pediatrician..... he asked if he could check Jayden out to see if everything was going good.... he then preceded to take all his clothes off!!!!!! So needless to say the very first time he got dressed up it was taken off in less than a minute... i must say that he didn't even cry when the doc pushed and poked and pulled and twisted on his little body, such a trooper!!! After the Doc left i then re-dressed him!! It was fun....

Merry Christmas to everyone!!!! We are getting ready to leave for the valley... we are going to my Grandpa and Grandma Baglins tonight to open presents and have dinner with them. On Christmas Day we will go to my Uncle Bill and Aunt Rachel's.... i will have lots of pics to post after...

I hope that everyone has a safe holiday week! I am looking forward to seeing all of my family.... But i have to admit this year has gone by soooo fast... My Grandparents bought the boys this little basketball hoop that goes in the bath but we put it on the window in the front room so they could play with it... they were playing pretty good for a while then Camdon decides that he was going to lay on the floor and throw a fit because he couldn't find the ball... so cute!!!

A Sad Day in America.....

Yesterday was a very long day for me...i volunteered at the election polls.... i have been doing it for the last 5 years, and i really enjoy it... I got there about 6:30a.m. and left about 9p.m..... I have to say that i am really disappointed in America... I truly believe that this generation has not been brought up the way that past generations were taught.... It truly is a sad day in America, for all of us that have morals and believe the way we do about freedom and America as a nation... it was founded on the Bible, and now who knows what will happen.....

Well i am getting ready to leave for West Coast Conference.... that is one exciting thing... i will be posting pics and what not when i get home!!!

Congratulations to one of my very good friends, Kristi Truck, she is going to be having a BOY...... i went to her baby shower this past weekend in Lompoc...it was so great to see everyone... Mason Robert Truck will arrive sometime in December.... ;)

So Monday at work i look out of our front window and see a bunch of police cars surrounding some people... and being the very inquisitive person that i am, i walked outside to see what was going on..... I seen a girl that used to work for us so she told me what happened.... apparently there was a car with some people in it that were backing away from the Dollar Tree and an undercover police officer started to back up into their car so they couldn't get away... The undercover p.o. jumped out of his car and pulled his gun out and got the people that were in their car, to get out of the car... then all of a sudden they are surrounded with police cars and get this.... FBI... can you believe that i actually seen FBI agents in my little town of Arroyo Grande!!! I have never seen them in person just heard about them, and know they do a lot of work in big cities and what not... so anyways i watched for a while,..... they searched the car and talked to the people for a while, then everyone left... About 10 minutes later the people that they had "stopped" at gunpoint, got in their car and drove away like nothing happened!!?!?!?! So i still don't know the whole story on what happened, my guess is that it could possibly have been something to do with drugs... but that is just speculation... anyways i thought it was pretty interesting.....

This past weekend we had the privilege of attending some of our good friends' wedding!!! It was such a beautiful wedding and they make such a cute couple! I am really happy for them!!

During the wedding was a little hectic, i was in between Amber and my Mom and we had Mason, Vinnie, and Camdon all running back and forth....during one their many loud moments, Vinnie turns to Mason and says..."You're not my friend anymore!!" I think it was over a bag of goldfish or something, but it was pretty hard to pay attention to the wedding when you have 3 little ones talking and asking when they were gonna kiss...... comedy.......

Sorry if some of these pictures are blurry... it was far away and my camera isn't taking very good pictures when it is dark. I tried the whole "inside" setting and the "night" setting too.... oh well!!!

At the reception we set with Nate, Lynn, Clint and Chelsea.... it was really fun and the food was great! They had rented a huge tent to put in the softball field next to the church... It was really different, but very nice......

Another good reason to go to a wedding is to see lots of people you haven't seen for a long time! It was great to catch up on every ones lives.....it seems we get so caught up with everything that we barely find time for ourselves and never any

time for the ones that we love..... oh well part of getting older i guess....

I was really surprised to see one of my best friends there... Miss Bri..... girl i miss and love ya lots...see ya soon hopefully!!!

I must apologize for not doing a very good job of keeping up on my page, I have a good excuse but its just that, an excuse!!! I must say that I had a great weekend a few weekends ago! I went down to the greater Los Angeles area, to visit my best friend and to check some things out!! On Saturday night we met up with one of my other best friends Gavin. Beau, Andy, Donavon, Leanna, David, Breanna, Leanna, and Alicia all met up with us and we went to City Walk. If you have never been, i suggest that you do. It is really a fun place to hang out and watch people. It wasn't very crowded like it normally was but there were still a lot of people because it was a Saturday night! If you have never hung out with Beau, you will have no idea what i am talking about....Anyways, we had been there for a while and we were done eating, by the way we went to Tony Romas, my very first time being there! The food was excellent!!! Back to my story, i decided that i wanted some candy from this store called, "Its Sugar", it has every imaginable candy ever made and known to mankind. Well Beau was just acting like his "normal" self, and asked one of the employees if they had any samples. Mind you this is a place where you get a lil bag and you fill it up and it is weighed at the counter.... So he is going around being silly....when we are finished we come out of the store and notice that there were probably 5 security guards standing right out side and they kept looking at us...Beau joking around said, I bet they are here for me.....so we walk a little ways and we see Andy on his phone, and he laughs and tells us that he told one of the security guys that Beau was stealing candy in the store!!! Like i said you would have had to be there.... Then he was asking people where Starbucks was located and we would be standing right in front of it!! Comedy central let me tell you...people have no idea what goes on around them..... Then we decided to go to downtown Hollywood..... That is always an experience, lots of people go down there to try and make money by entertaining the random people that happen to be walking down the street..... needless to say we did lots of laughing and people need to look in the mirror before they leave their houses.... you would not believe some of the things that we seen while we were there.....unbelievable!!!!

I am so glad that i was able to go and spend some time down there...it was really good to just relax and have a great time... Church was awesome as usual and i had a great time hanging out with some of my friends that i don't get to see a lot! Oh and by the way if you ever need a good laugh just go to a Barnes and Nobles and sit on the floor near the rack with the little books with all the pointless information in the world.....

Just so you know, i have been in the process of writing this post for about a week.... it seems like every time i sit down to finish it something comes up... so i made up my mind that i was going to finish it tonight!!!

I pray that everyone is having a great Fall season so far.... I can't wait for West Coast Conference, it is going to be fun!!!!

Ok so what girl doesn't like shoes???? Well i LOVE shoes....I probably have way to many for my own good, but that's besides the point!!! I think i am at about 100 pairs or so!!!! Mason's Party!

Okay so i am just a few weeks behind in posting these pictures, but hey at least i am posting them!! lol! :*) This is me and one of my very best friends, Amber, i miss her soooooo much.......
Mason eating a hot dog.... his party was a monkey theme...it was really cute, there were about 20 little children running around. Did i mention that it was like 102!!!! Yes it was beyond hot! They have a blow up slide that goes into a pool, so the kids were having a blast getting wet and playing in the sun!!!
Okay, um..... the story behind this is that my Dad had some of these little squirt guns that they had as party favors and he kept getting all of us in the face and wherever he felt!!! So i took a cup of water and just got some on his shirt nothing big, but he said if i got him wet he was putting me in the pool!!!!! I didn't think that he would do it, but he meant it!!! He picked me up and dragged me to the pool and literally threw me in....So needless to say i ended up SOAKING WET, in the wading pool, but unlike all the other children i was NOT wearing a bathing suit!!!!

I had the privilege of going to PEAK this year in Tulsa, Oklahoma! I cannot begin to describe to you how incredibly awesome it was! The services were beyond description, Bro Jason Calhoun and Bro. Cody Marks did such a great job and were very anointed and in the Holy Ghost! The first night of the conference started with prayer that lasted over 30 minutes, no music, no singing, just magnifying God and praising Him... That is one service that i will never forget! I prayed about some things during that part of the service and when Bro. Marks got up to preach, it was if he was speaking right to me.... God was already answering all of my questions!! We serve a GREAT and MIGHTY GOD!!!! It was great to see a lot of people that i haven't seen for a while and to hang out with some of my good friends!
Bekki Simpson stayed with Nay and I, and we had sooooo much fun! Thanks Bekki for staying with us! Can't wait till next year! "How bout sum sweet teee?" lol.... you just had to be there, we were basically laughing the whole trip! "Didn't want to wake ya'll up, so i just left a note!" (inside joke)

The Saturday after Camp Meeting, Shenay and I flew to Tulsa, Oklahoma! By the way,it is my home town! It was great to be able to see everything again, i haven't been out there in about 10 years! We had a long day that day~ We left our house at 7a.m. and drove to Bakersfield, our flight left at noon. We had a hour and half lay over in Salt Lake City, which that airport was very crowded and apparently there was a lady that had passed out or something, because the fire department and the paramedics were all standing around her! I was getting ready to go invite them to church!! lol!!! When we arrived in Oklahoma we were greeted by my Uncle Kendall and one of the neighbor kids that had rode with him to pick us up! The picture below is me and Nay after a really long day, and you can tell!!!! :+)

We stopped at a place called Kicks 66 Diner, the food was actually pretty good, but my Uncle kept sayin things to the waitress and it was really funny, they probably thought we were extremely weird, but hey it was a lot of fun! It started to rain right when we were leaving the diner. It POURED!!! If you have never experienced an Oklahoma thunder/lightning storm, you are missing out!!It was really neat, but it took us a lot longer to get home!

On Sunday, we slept in and just hung around the house, because my Uncle had to fix the van window, and so he drove his truck to work that day! After he got home we went to a place called Ozzies, its right on the water. The food was excellent, i had fried steak strips!

Had to take a picture of the sign! Oh and by the way Grove, OK has a SUPER WALMART!!!! Can you believe that?? We don't even have one of those! This restaurant is right in front of there! Of course we went to WALMART about 4 times when we were there! Also on Monday we drove around the town and went shopping in all there lil boutiques and random shops!

This was on Tuesday, Nay and I drove to Joplin, Missouri to go shopping at the mall, and as soon as we seen our exit there was a Cracker Barrel, another thing that you are missing out on, if you have never been!!! The food was incredible! They serve HUGE portions, as you can see... That was Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, french fries, fried apples, a biscuit, corn bread muffin and SWEET TEA!!!! okay okay, i didn't eat it all, but it sure was tempting!!!

This is a McDonalds, that is over the freeway, this is on the interstate about 20 minutes from his house!
Sailboat Bridge takes you into Grove, and this goes over Grand Lake, which covers about 1700 miles of shore line and goes through 7 towns.... i didn't realize that the lake was this big, when my uncle was explaining that he lived right by the lake! Well it is BEAUTIFUL!!!! His house is right by the lake, you can see it out of his back window and if i threw a rock i could hit the lake!!!
This is a random picture that i took when i was driving, i really like it though! It looks like it has a story behind it, maybe one day I'll blog about the straight road, or something!!

Howdy Ya'll!!! I am finally home from my home state!! It was soo much fun going to visit my uncle and to see a bunch of friends that i haven't seen in a very long time!! The weather wasn't to bad, it was pouring rain the first night! Got to see some amazing lightning and hear some loud thunder! If you have never experienced a storm in the south you need to! It is nothing like the storms we get here in California! They are beautiful! I hope everyone had a wonderful week last week! I will be posting a ton of pictures from Camp Meeting and my Uncles , and also Peak pictures! Hope you enjoy them!!! Glad to be back in my own house!!! There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed! It will take me a few days to get used to the time change again!! Oh by the way its only 71 here right now~ Compaired to that hot humid weather in Oklahoma and the 102 weather in Bakersfield!!! :>)

Camp Meeting

Camp Meeting has been going on all this past week! So that is one reason for the silence on this page! I literally feel as if i haven't even taken a breath in between everything that is going on! This last few weeks have been extremely busy, but i have been able to see some of my best friends and hang out with people that i don't get to see everyday! I will be going to visit my uncle so if you don't hear from me for the next week or so that is why!!! Have a great week! Pics to come soon!

Does anyone else feel the same way??? This year is literally flyin by us at a speed that is incomprehensible!!! I cannot believe that it is already August! Five months until Christmas!! wowzers.... i always have heard my "elders" say, "don't grow up to fast!" "Be a kid", and now i know what they mean. Lets face it, none of us are getting any younger and many of you are already married and have children, i don't even have that excuse yet!! :) but i do know that my life is going by very fast! So its my plan to make every day count! Live each day to the fullest and be everything that you can be! Don't put off things, and always live for today and not in the past!!!

For the past week i have been walking to work!!! Can you believe it?!?! Neither can i! I was getting really good at making myself go to the gym on a regular basis and all that jazz but then i went on a vacation and that went "right out the window"! So for a few months i have been lazy and kept putting off getting back on a good eating habit or going to the gym! Then it finally hit me last week that i only had a few weeks until PEAK! AND that i need to get back on my diet and exercise program! Last Tuesday night after church Catalina, Shenay and I decided instead of going out to eat like we normally do, that we were going to take a lil walk! Well our little walk turned into about an hour of fast paced walking! It was fun, so it has just "snowballed" for me since then~ I have walked everyday to work, and most days back home! It is a good 30 minutes and by the time i get to work, i don't want to work!:) I have also decided that it is saving me lots of money in gas! Last week i took my car to work on Monday and then i didn't move it until Friday night when we had a youth function in Santa Maria!!! This week started out good as well, and i hope that i can keep it up after i return from vacation!!!! I hope that i have inspired all of you out there in "bloggerland" to save some money, and the environment, and your health and walk to work!!!! :)

This past weekend we had some of our family in town, and we had such a great time with everyone!!! Above is a picture of my cuz Cadie who now lives in Oklahoma with my Uncle Kendall! She will be going back at the end of this month!

FLAT TIRE

This past weekend we had some of our family in town visiting!!! It was a whole lot of fun.... On Sunday afternoon we decided to take my cousin John from Georgia, on a ride in the dunes!!! What started out as a nice Sunday afternoon stroll on the beach ended up being really funny!!! We first were just driving along the ocean, and then my Dad decides that we need to go into the dunes!!! We were doing great just going up some lil hills and what not, then we get to competition hill, if you have never been to the Oceano Dunes, then you have no clue of what i am talking about.. Competition Hill has been popular for as many years as my Dad has been riding out there, and they started going out there when he was young! It is a huge dune, which as i understand is not as large as it once was, that people race up and do stupid things!!! Well my Dad thinks that we need to go up this farely large hill next to Competition Hill, granted its not as big as Competition Hill but for our truck that is fully loaded it is plenty large! So we make it up and over and then when we come down the back side of it we are ending up on this narrow passage way that had a "bowl" on each side. ( you also have to be very careful of these "bowls" when you are riding out there because you could roll your vehicle very easily!) As we are going down this hill we have to pick up speed because we need to get over a very large hill in front of us too..... Well needless to say my Dad guns it and we start going, well unnoticed by my father there was a huge rivet in the bottom of this "Valley" that we are trying to go through. I have never been in a truck where i was so concerned! We bottomed out, and as we did, a "wave" of sand came in the truck from the open window and bathed me and my cousin Jennifer in the back seat!!!! Bad idea in the first place to go up the "big" hill.... so my dad backs up and goes at it again! Same thing.... bottoms out and we are "stuck", well on the last time we tried to go up the hill again, so much sand got in between the bottom fog light and the ground that it completely sucked the light out of the hole and was lying on the ground!!!! So we sit there for a few minutes and decide what we are goin to do, mind you Jen and I are dressed to go eat in San Luis for lunch so we are not just in some beach clothes, the guys get out to air the tires down, and we are looking all around us and we are literally sitting in a valley, with these huge dunes all around us!!! FINALLY we get all the tires aired down and my dad goes to the right and in this "bowl" and around to get us out, but even he was a lil doubtful for a second!!!! So by this time i am telling me Dad, "Just go back to the beach!" and he keeps just going over hills and what not!!!! So we finally head back to the beach and go to air up our tires at this lil station that they have set up! The guys get out and my Dad starts airing them all up, well by the time he gets to the front passenger side all i hear is "that's flat!" And i am just thinking to myself, "Are you kiddin me!!!" so we attempt to get out of the other peoples way and change this tire!!!! Comedy central let me tell you! By this time Jen and i decide that we are going to get out and "check things out" Needless to say the whole tire was off the rim!!! So my Dad and Uncle Bill and John are tryin to find out how to get the spare tire down because its some special thing you have to do, after about 20 minutes of trying this really nice young guy comes over and shows them, apparently he had been doing the same thing on the side of the freeway one time for 4 hours before he figured it out!! Thank God he was there because we were already running late! So they get the flat tire off and put the spare on and finally we are on our way!!!! Needless to say i hope that i NEVER have to experience that again!!! But memories will last a lifetime!!!!Here is the flat tire!!!
